Airaid's MXP Series cold air system specifically designed for the 2010 4.6L V8 Mustang. The kit features a one piece roto-molded air box, massive intake tube and high flow filter. The new kit utilizes the OEM cold air scoop and allows functionality of the OEM sound resonator. And, as a bonus, if you want to delete the sound resonator tube, Airaid has include the necessary parts to properly remove, plug the whole in the intake tube, and plug the hole in your firewall. The kit takes advantage of computer-aided design to isolate engine heat
away from the air intake for maximum power and torque. The end
result is a cool, dense air charge which means more horsepower and
torque.
This intake system utilizes Airaid's exclusive
Modular Venturi Technology
(M.V.T.) which maintains proper air/fuel ratios with stock Ford computer
tuning. However, to take advantage of serious performance parts
such as high-lift cams, ported cylinder heads and headers, the MVT can
be removed easily with custom vehicle computer tuning for even more power. This
gives serious performance enthusiasts the ability to retain the Airaid
intake as they add serious performance upgrades to their car without
worrying about the need to upgrade the air intake system.
